'I'm already stressed out enough' | Pasadena bride-to-be says wedding dress stuck at north Houston postal facility

With her wedding only days away, Chelsea Hansen is without a dress.

PASADENA, Texas — Post office delays keep piling up. Our reporting on the issue is really hitting a nerve with so many of you.  On Friday alone, we heard from nearly 3,000 of you about these issues.

One person we talked to is still waiting on a very important package – her wedding dress.

“We're doing a small wedding,” said bride-to-be Chelsea Hansen.

For weeks, KHOU 11 has been following the story about delays of packages through the Missouri City USPS processing center. Have you been affected? If so, email us at mailproblems@khou.com. If you have photos of the tracking, please include that, too!

Her wedding is just eight days away.

"My nerves are completely shot and I'm already stressed out enough as it is,” she said.

Hansen ordered her dream dress a month and a half ago.

"On the 12th, it got to the north Houston distribution center and nothing since then," she told us.

It was supposed to be delivered on the 13th. She's tried calling, but that hasn't worked.

“It'll say it's transferring you to a representative and then rings a few times and it just hangs up,” she said.

Hansen feels stuck with nowhere to turn.

“I'm hoping within the next eight days it gets here and I'm hoping that it fits me,” she said.

She's also waiting for her wedding shoes, which may also be up in the air. She’s now left looking for last-minute backups.

“It's what I see myself wearing on my wedding day, and I don't think I'm going to find something else that I'll like as much in the meantime,” Hansen said.

In the meantime, Hansen and hundreds of others with items stuck are just left waiting.

After our interview, she actually found out that her sister's bridesmaid dress may also be stuck at that same post office facility. Now they are both crossing their fingers, hoping that both dresses make it in time.
