HOUSTON — A man is recovering after a car burglar shot him for trying to make a citizen’s arrest in north Houston.
It happened Friday night on Burnley Street when a group of people noticed a man breaking into cars. That group tried to stop him, but the suspect took off in a car, later crashing.
That same group of people pulled the suspect out of the car he was in and got into a fight. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot one of the people in the foot.
The person who was shot in the foot was taken to the hospital. The suspect is still on the run.
A gun was found at the scene.
