HOUSTON — A fire is forcing an Alief ISD elementary school to cancel all classes and after school activities for the rest of the week.
The fire at Outley Elementary happened Wednesday evening.
Alief ISD officials, who described the incident as a "small fire" despite canceling activities for the rest of the week, say school at Outley Elementary "will resume as soon as the affected areas are thoroughly clear of any debris and residue."
They hope classes can pick back up Monday.
It was not immediately clear why, or where exactly on campus, the fire started.
