Boy accidentally shot to death by older sibling, La Porte police say

Police said the shooting happened at a residence on Old Orchard Road around 2:20 p.m. on May 5, 2020.

LA PORTE, Texas — A 4-year-old child was shot to death Tuesday by his older sibling, according to the La Porte Police Department.

The shooting, which authorities said was accidental, happened at about 2:20 p.m. at a residence in the 10200 block of Old Orchard Road.

Officers arrived quickly and began rendering life-saving aid but the boy was pronounced dead.

The incident is still under investigation.
