FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas Dane Hayton, a Travis High School teacher and basketball coach, resigned Monday amid allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Authorities said Fort Bend ISD was investigating the allegations involving the school s junior varsity boys basketball coach.
Although Mr. Hayton has submitted a voluntary resignation of his employment with FBISD, the investigation is ongoing, and the district cannot release any other details at this time, wrote Travis High School Principal J.J. Kyle on the school s website.
