HPD: Rapper charged in deadly shooting outside local McDonald's

A 19-year-old rapper is accused killing another Houston rapper in a fight that allegedly stemmed from a jealous feud.

HOUSTON A 19-year-old rapper is accused killing another Houston rapper in a fight that allegedly stemmed from a jealous feud.

Jordan Quentin Wilson is charged with murder.

Toyurean Young, a member of the local rap group FDAB, was shot during a fight outside a McDonald s in the 10700 block of Beechnut.

Wilson was formerly a member of FDAB, before he left to join another group, KREAM. Friends of the parties involved told police that Wilson was jealous of Young s growing popularity in the rap scene.

According to court documents, Young and a friend went to the McDonald s around 9:30 p.m. on May 4, 2012.

Once there, they were approached by Wilson.

Investigators said Wilson asked Young to go fight him in an adjacent apartment complex.

Young complied, and as they walked over, he and Wilson began to argue.

Young s friend said he told Young they should leave, because he could see that Wilson was armed.

Young and his friend headed back toward the McDonald s, but Wilson and his friend allegedly followed. At some point, another fight broke out between the four men.

Young s friend said he ran back to the McDonald s, and once he was inside, he heard seven gunshots.

Young then ran inside the restaurant, holding his left side, saying he d been shot.

He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died.

Police said Wilson had been harassing Young on Twitter and threatening to assault him in days leading up the fight.

Charges were filed against Wilson on May 13, 2012. As of Tuesday,he was not in custody.
