Two people injured in shootout near NRG Park, Houston police say

HPD said the victims were shot after people in two vehicles started arguing and then jumped out and started shooting.

HOUSTON — Houston police are trying to sort out what happened at a shooting scene near NRG Park. 

One man was shot multiple times in the 2800 block of South Bartell Drive near Westridge around 5:15 p.m. The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, according to HPD.

A second shooting victim was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. 

Police say both victims were struck during a shootout involving people in two vehicles.

They started arguing at the intersection and then jumped out and started shooting each other.

When police arrived, they found bullet casings and broken glass surrounding two vehicles that had collided. 

.Police are still looking for the shooters.
