HOUSTON — A man was shot in the head when a gun went off during a fight with his wife at their north Houston home early Monday.
This happened around 3 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of Beckman Street.
Houston police say they responded to report of a shooting at that tome and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head at the residence. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Investigators say the shooting was a result of a fight between the man and his wife. During the argument, the couple began fighting over a gun which then went off striking the man in the head.
Police say they also may have been children at the home when the shooting occurred, but it is not clear if they witnessed it.
The wife was taken into custody. No word on any charges stemming from the shooting.
