BELLVILLE, Texas — The Houston teen accused in the murder of a Yellow Cab driver has been arrested in Austin County, Bellville police confirm.
The shooting happened Monday in the parking lot of a Montrose Kroger store.
Jiterion Kegler, 19, was wanted for murder out of Harris County and was later located at the Park Place Apartments in Bellville, according to police there.
Kegler was said to be armed and dangerous, so The Austin County Special Response Team moved in to make an arrest. He's now in jail and will soon be extradited back to Harris County.
The cab driver was identified by Yellow Cab as Michael Ubani. He was rushed to Ben Taub in critical condition but doctors couldn’t save him.
