HOUSTON — Great Day's Cristina Kooker checks one of Houston's newest tattoo shops, Ephemeral Tattoo Studio. Their "made-to-fade" ink is applied just like a traditional tattoo but is designed to last only 9 to 15 months.
So how can the tattoos fade after about a year? The secret is in their ink! Ephemeral's biodegradable ink is designed to be removed by the body's immune system. Right now, tattoos are only offered in black ink, but the studio is working on a formula that will include colored ink too.
Clients can choose between "subtle" and "statement" pieces, and the studio's artists will help customize each tattoo.
