HOUSTON — A deadly heavy truck crash and hazmat spill has FM 1314 shut down in Montgomery County Monday morning, according to Houston Transtar.

A truck driver died when two big rigs collided just south of Conroe, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

This happened just after 4:30 a.m. heading east at Exxon Road. The roadway is completely shut down as crews work to clear the scene.

Drivers should avoid the area.

Aerial views from Air 11 show the cab of the truck and the front end of the trailer destroyed by fire. The fire is out, but a cleanup is still underway.

The other driver was able to get out but DPS said he did suffer some burns. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
