My Cause, My Cleats: Texans join other NFL players with footwear supporting special causes

The Houston Texans will be wearing specially designed cleats this weekend to show support for causes that are important to them.

HOUSTON — You might notice something different when the Houston Texans and other NFL teams take the field this week.

A lot of NFL players will be wearing specially designed cleats as part of the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats campaign.

More than 35 Texans players are participating to highlight causes and charities that are important to them.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud, whose father is serving time in prison, chose prison reform as his cause. Mental Health Awareness was selected by wide receiver Tank Dell. Tight end Brevin Jordan will be wearing pink cleats in honor of his mom Beverly's breast cancer battle.

"You know, I just did the date for when my mom was diagnosed, and she survived," Jordan said. "It's really just a testament to my mom and the foundation she's raised us with."

You'll see the cleats on Sunday when the Texans play the Denver Broncos.
