Houston Texans deliver Thanksgiving cheer to Texas Children's patients

For families spending the holiday in the TCH's cardiac care unit, the players brought smiles and brightened their day.

HOUSTON — Spending the holidays in the hospital is no fun for patients or their families but the Houston Texans helped lift their spirits on Wednesday.

They were at Texas Children’s Hospital to deliver a Thanksgiving feast and signed footballs from the team.

Long snapper Jon Weeks, who has made a tradition of the Thanksgiving visit to TCH, joined kicker Matt Ammendola, punter Cameron Johnston and coaches Frank Ross and Will Burnham.

They chatted with the young patients and their families in the cardiac care unit, bringing smiles and brightening their day.

The TCH nurses, aides and other staff members also enjoyed the visit.
