HOUSTON — The College Football Playoff national championship game is in Houston on Monday night. The Washington Huskies will take on the Michigan Wolverines at NRG Stadium.
Going to the game can be pricy, but there are some events leading up to the game that won't cost you a dime! Here's a rundown of some of the fun surrounding the year's biggest game in college football.

Playoff Fan Central at the George R. Brown Convention Center
Fan Central is a three-day free event that includes games, clinics, autograph signings, band performances and so much more.
It's open on the following days and times:
- Friday, Jan. 5 from noon to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
- Sunday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Gates for each performance will open at 6 p.m.
- Friday, Jan. 5 -- KIDZ BOP

Get free tickets to AT&T Playoff Playlist in Houston
The concerts are free, but you still need tickets. The way to do that -- just pre-register on the CFBPlayoff mobile app and get a QR Code. Then, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the day of the concert, go to the George R. Brown Convention Center to get a wristband as your ticket to get in.
One note -- Wristbands are NOT required for the KIDZ BOP concert on Jan. 5. If you plan to go to that show, just register on the CFBPlayoff mobile app and entry will be first come, first served.

Trophy Trot
Lace ‘em up and head on out for the Trophy Trot as part of the College Football Playoff National Championship festivities.
The Trophy Trot is a 10K or 5K family-friendly run and walk on the day before the big game.
It starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Taste of the Championship
Love football and food? You can combine those passions and also help teachers at the Taste of the Championship.
Taste of the Championship will be the Sunday at Union Station at Minute Maid Park and features a premium dining experience with gourmet food and drinks, all prepared locally by Houston-area chefs. It's a list of chefs and restaurants curated by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd.
