HOUSTON Firefighters battled a wildfire that burned 170 acres Monday in Montgomery County, fire officials said.

The wildfire broke out in the Sam Houston National Forest, which is located about 50 miles north of Houston.

Firefighters used several helicopters to help extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported, fire officials said.

There was no word on what started the fire.
