Harris County seeing big turnout after four days of early voting

More than 54,000 in-person ballots were cast by Thursday night.

HOUSTON — Voters are going to the polls in big numbers in Harris County for early voting in the Nov. 7 elections.

More than 54,400 in-person ballots have been cast in the first four days, according to Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth. According to the Harris County Clerk’s office, the most similar election was back in 2015, when 36,300 people voted in the same time period.

“We have been working hard to ensure voting centers are up and running on time, and voters are getting in and out easily,” Hudspeth said. “Voters are showing interest in this election and are eager to make their choices ahead of November 7.”
