HOUSTON — The March 5 primary elections are fast approaching and there are some key dates you should know about, starting on Monday, Feb. 5.

Feb. 5 is the last day you can register to vote in the election. If you’re not registered, you can do so but you don’t have much time. Here’s all the information you need to have your voice heard.

Once you’re registered, you can take part in early voting. It begins on Tuesday, Feb. 20. From that day, you have until Friday, March 1, to cast your vote in the primary elections.

If you’re voting by mail, the last day to apply for a ballot is Friday, Feb. 23. It must be received by that date.

And finally, Election Day for the primary elections is Tuesday, March 5.
