IRVING, Texas — Today's Wednesday's Child 10-year-old A'Layah has a lot of energy and zest for life.
Get this, A'Layah is so smart that she is already putting together a business plan for the company she wants to own in the near future.
Stretching increases her flexibility while practicing her gymnastics moves at Irving Gymnastics. It has other benefits too, like increasing A'Layah's focus in life, especially at school.
"I'm really smart. I have an A in every class except a C in reading right now. But it's not nothing major, just a missing assignment but I'm working on it," she said about classwork.
There's nothing A'Layah can't handle. During our adventure day at Irving Gymnastics, she showed off a variety of skills. A'Layah can do cartwheels, beams, and even the vault.
"I'm really energetic and hyper," she said.
Her instructor for the day complimented her on how strong she is.
"I'm really good at climbing and balancing in heels too," A'Layah said proudly. "I'm actually thinking about learning how to climb a tree in heels."
She's also working on a new business project.
"I want to be like a businesswoman and have my own company. Sassy Girls. It's gonna be like Claire's but cheaper."
A'Layah wants to start her own business as soon as possible and you better bet she will look the part.
"I like to be an overdresser. Like anywhere I go, you'll never see me as an underdresser," she said.
A'Layah is a self-proclaimed girly girl.
"I like dresses, skirts. Sometimes I can have my other styles. Lipglosses, purses, nails," she said about her fashion genius. She glows talking about her wardrobe and how to dress for success.
A'Layah says the right family for her will be tender-hearted, loving, and supportive of her future endeavors. She also hopes they're a little more lenient with bedtime.
"Please have my bedtime be at least 9. Please! Please!" she said emphatically.
The family that's a right fit for A'Layah definitely needs to be patient, active, understanding, and above all loving.

You'll have your hands full, but it's your heart that will be especially full.
