HOUSTON -- We're hearing directly from former President George H.W. Bush for the first time since he was admitted to the hospital for an infection.

Thank you all," Bush tweeted Wednesday morning.
He's been in the hospital since Sunday, the day after his wife and former First Lady Barbara Bush was laid to rest.
