BAYTOWN, Texas — A Baytown man was arrested after police said he shot his brother to death during a long night of drinking.

Kevin Olafson, 55, was taken into custody around 4 a.m. Thursday at a mobile home in the 100 block of Blue Bill Bay.

Police said Kevin Olafson and his brother, 54-year-old Vincent Olafson, had been drinking for most of the night when they got into an "altercation." Kevin got his gun and shot his brother several times in the chest and torso, police said. Kevin then called 911 and reported the incident to the police and waited for officers to arrive.

Kevin Olafson was charged with murder. He is being held in the Baytown Jail but will be transferred to the Harris County Jail.
