HOUSTON — Two Houstonians accused in a college admissions scandal pleaded not guilty Monday on charges of conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Lisa "Niki" Williams and Martin Fox are accused in a cheating scandal the justice department has dubbed “Varsity Blues.”

Investigators say they accepted bribes to make it look like student applicants were athletes in sports they didn't actually play, or in some cases, boosted standardized test scores by changing answers or by having another person take the test for them.
