Verify: Do roller coaster temperatures make you sick?

Our Verify team set out to see if there's really a connection between up and down weather and getting sick.

The roller coaster temperatures have a lot of people feeling under the weather, so our Verify team set out to see if there’s really a connection.

Doctors say the answer is…no!

While some people might be susceptible like asthmatics, most of us won’t get sick just because of the weather. Doctors say it all boils down to the people you come into contact with.

They say minimize your exposure.

If you’re going to go outside, be careful of where you are. Of course, if you’re feeling even a little bit sick, it’s best to stay home, if you can.

So we can Verify it is false that a quick drop in temperatures will cause you to get sick.

But remember, it’s flu season. The CDC says seven million Americans have gotten the flu so far. And a lot of people are battling colds.
