HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman is charged with injury to a child after assaulting her 12-year-old daughter at a Pappasito's restaurant in north Harris County, according to the Pct. 4 Constable's Office.
Jessica Pimentel, 29, is accused of throwing her daughter to the ground, dragging her across the parking lot, punching her repeatedly and trying to put her in a choke hold, the constable's office says.
Deputies responded to the Pappasito's Cantina in the 15200 block of the North Freeway, where witnesses said a mother was assaulting her 12-year-old daughter.
Deputies said they found Pimentel to be intoxicated, refusing to answer any questions and being "belligerent towards deputies."
Child Protective Services was called to the scene and the daughter was later released to another guardian.
Pimentel was booked into Harris County Jail and her bond was set at $15,000. She has a court date set for April 3.
