HOUSTON — A male driver was arrested after leading police on a lengthy chase from the northside to southwest Houston overnight.

This started just before midnight late Sunday in the area of Little York and Airline. Houston police say they spotted a red truck driving erratically and aggressively.

Officers tried to pull him over, but he refused to stop. Police said the driver may have been intoxicated.

The chase headed south after the suspect vehicle drove through the area of the North Freeway. The driver continued around the 610 Loop before exiting on Braeswood.

The driver bailed out of the truck at Braeswood and Fondren where he was eventually caught after trying to run from police.

At some point during the chase, the suspect vehicle blew out a tire when he hit a curb and was driving around on the rim, police said.

The driver now faces felony evading charges, and police are investigating whether he was intoxicated.
