Shane's death
Around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2023, police showed up at the scene to find Shane shot. They tried to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shane's mother, Yosha Hamilton, said her son collapsed just outside the family's apartment unit.
"I couldn’t say nothing to him. He was already gone," Yosha said. "He tried to come home. He tried to get in the house and come home."
Goose Creek CISD said Shane was a student at Robert E. Lee High School.
At the time of Shane's death, investigators believed he was killed in a drive-by shooting. Shane's mother and stepfather said he was killed just hours after he went to a basketball game.
