If you didn't see rain accumulations yesterday well check them out. The forecast was for 1-3 inches of rain with isolated amounts up to 4 inches. The 7-8 inches that we saw was not in the forecast. When you get that much rain in our city- in a very short period of time- that water has nowhere to go.
Because we saw a nice break from rain for the past 14 hours- most levels were able to drop. More rain is expected today... and a daily rain chance through the weekend.
A wet weather pattern is in the forecast. Not what you want to hear after yesterday but can't get rid of the rain chances just yet. However rain accumulations today should be A LOT LESS today compared to the 4th. Did you see some of the totals from yesterday?
