DALLAS The 911 call from a North Texas propeller accident that nearly killed a young model have been released.

Lauren Scruggs walked into the spinning propeller after she got off a private plane on December 3. Scruggs had gone up in the plane to see Christmas lights from the air.

In the 911 recording, you hear Scruggs crying in the background as the dispatcher gives directions to the woman who called for help.

Try to get her to calm down, the dispatcher said. Find out where all she is injured.

They re bleeding badly, and we re going to need to try to stop..., said the caller.

OK. See if we can find out where she s bleeding from. Is there somebody that can go get some clean towels? the dispatcher asked.

Scruggs suffered a severe head injury and later lost her left eye and her left hand.

I need you to lay still. I need you to lay still, baby, the caller can be heard telling Scruggs.

The Plano model and online editor was released from the hospital Tuesday, but continues to undergo extensive rehab.

According to her mother, Scruggs has had to relearn how to walk, talk and dress herself.

It is just plain hard to watch Lo come to grips with the fact that she has lost her hand and lost her eye, Cheryl wrote in her caringbridge.org blog. It s hard to hear her tears.

Her parents say her attitude and disposition have been remarkably upbeat, despite the horror of what happened that night.
