HOUSTON — TikTok food critic Keith Lee is proving that Houston always brings the flavor.
The social media star is now in Dallas trying all the best food the city has to offer and so far he's not too impressed.
One of his latest reviews is from Terry Black’s BBQ which more than 10,000 people recommended. While he thought the turkey and brisket were good, his overall review was mixed.
“This for sure the jalapeno cheddar…for transparency I spit it out,” Lee said in a video. “This is the mac n cheese…Mmm, that's just a salty noodle.”
However, Dallas did get some redemption.
Overnight, Lee posted a review from Halal Fusionz, a Pakistani Tex-Mex fusion restaurant, and gave it high marks.
However, it wasn't as high as his Houston visit in November when he gave several dishes a 10 out of 10.
Lee helped put Houston food in the spotlight during his visit. Afterward, he ranked his top eight cities he visited in 2023 when it came to food, and H-Town more than held its own.
The Bayou City was ranked No. 2, second only to New Orleans, when it came to the best food Lee ate this year.
“Speaking of almost every spot that we went to be in, delicious,” Lee said. “Houston was one of those places.”
