HOUSTON -- A major crash shut down all southbound lanes of the West Loop at Highway 59/I-69 early Friday.
Views from Air 11 showed a white car collided into a barrier during icy conditions.
As of 8 a.m. about two dozen icy spots were reported around the Houston area after snowfall overnight. Most of the impacted roadways are elevated overpasses and ramps.
Drivers were advised to use caution and possibly delay their morning commute until after the temperatures warm-up mid-morning.
The West Loop has since fully reopened.
