HOUSTON -- All eastbound lanes of the Westpark Tollway were blocked Friday morning after a food truck was involved in a violent crash.
At this time it's not known if there were any deaths or serious injuries.
The crash happened at about 9:30 a.m. Friday between Cook Road and S. Dairy Ashford, according to Houston TranStar.
It appears the food truck was heading northbound through a nearby intersection when the driver kept going and crashed into the concrete barrier for the tollway. The truck jumped the divider and landed in the mainlanes of the tollway.
Views from Houston TranStar showed about a five-mile backup as drivers were forced off the road.
As of 11:15 a.m. both lanes were back open, but the cleanup alongside the road continued.
