HOUSTON — UPDATE: The crash cleared just before noon.

A multi-vehicle crash shut down multiple eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway at Wilcrest Friday morning.
According to Houston police, an 18-wheeler and a truck crashed into each other, causing a huge pileup.
Houston Transtar reported that 11 vehicles were involved and the crash involved a vehicle fire.
