A road hazard is forcing a partial shutdown of the Eastex Freeway/I-69.
The damage is on the southbound lanes of the freeway near the Laura Koppe Road exit. TxDOT is blocking off the right three lanes, so pack your patience as other drivers try to avoid it.
TxDOT says they're sending a repair crew soon, but it will not be a quick fix. They're not expecting the lanes to re-open until 5 a.m. on Friday.
