HOUSTON — I-10 was a mess Saturday night just north of downtown Houston where a truck lost its load around 5 p.m., according to Houston TranStar.
All eastbound lanes near I-45 were blocked for seven hours after a big rig crashed and lost its load just north of downtown.
Crews worked all night to clear the mess and the lanes reopened just after midnight.
The big rig driver jack-knifed after colliding with another vehicle. Dozens of large boxes spilled onto I-10. HAZMAT crews were also on the scene mopping up spilled diesel fuel.
Police say both drivers were injured but are expected to be ok.
