HOUSTON – A pickup truck crash killed a person and shut down the 610 South Loop during the morning rush hour commute on Monday.
Views from 11 show the white pickup crashed through a barrier on the freeway's eastbound lanes and came to a stop on the frontage road near Almeda. The crash happened at about 6 a.m.
One person died at the scene, police confirm.
All eastbound lanes and the frontage road were shut down for more than three hours for the investigation.
As of 10:30 a.m. the mainlanes had reopened, but the frontage road was still shut down.
