Andre Johnson is returning to the Texans

Drafted by the Texans in 2003, Johnson played the first 12 seasons of his 14-year career in Houston.

HOUSTON — Former Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is officially joining the team's staff as a special adviser to head coach Bill O'Brien and general manager Brian Gaine, the Texans confirmed. 

Johnson will help with coaching, scouting and personnel issues, among other duties.

Drafted by the Texans in 2003, Johnson played the first 12 seasons of his 14-year career in Houston. 

He is the Texans' all-time leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
