Suspected gang members crash car into Wendy's during chase

The suspects led police on a short chase through southwest Houston until the driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the front of the restaurant, smashing the window.

HOUSTON – A police chase with four suspected gang members ended when they crashed their car into the front of a Wendy’s restaurant Wednesday night.

The chase ended at the restaurant located in the 6100 block of Hillcroft in southwest Houston.

Houston Police say it all started around 9:30 p.m. when the suspect vehicle with four males refused to stop for a traffic violation in the 6400 block of Gulfton.

The suspects led police on a short chase through southwest Houston until the driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the front of the restaurant, smashing the window.

Police arrested the driver, a passenger armed with a handgun and a third suspect at the scene of the crash. However, a fourth passenger was able to run away from the scene.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Police are awaiting to see what charges will be filed.
