SEATTLE, Wash.—One cat is daring to go where no cat has gone before: to seek out new mountains and new trail-side snacks.
Jean Luc Piccat is a Seattle-based snow Bengal cat who likes to hit the trails in his free time.
His humans, Mark Kempton and Sarah Cooley, said they got Jean Luc and decided to just "try to see how far we could take the whole adventure thing."

Kempton and his cat became more internet famous after the Washington Trails Association shared their hilarious trip report written from Jean Luc Piccat's perspective to Facebook.
In it, Jean Luc said it was a "purrrfect" day for a hike and that it was an incredible "expurrience" on Mailbox Peak Trail.

Jean Luc wrote that his mission was to explore strange new trails and to boldly go where no cat has gone before.
Kempton said Jean Luc - who is, of course, named after the Star Trek character - is always on a leash for their hikes, and gets along well with dogs.
