Wellness Wednesday: Orangetheory Fitness

Since Annette Miller first started going to OTF a little more than two years ago, she's logged more than 420 classes.

When it comes to working out, they say getting there is half the battle. Annette Miller fights that fatigue at Orangetheory Towne Lake in Cypress. Since she first started going to OTF a little more than two years ago, she’s logged more than 420 classes.

“That’s incredible,” says trainer Magan Mcswain. “That just goes to prove how easy it is to fall in love with Orange Theory because it’s always different, it’s always changing and she’s getting results.”

The results Miller’s chasing on the treadmill are more important than any calories burned.

“I was diagnosed with breast cancer about three and a half years ago, so I went through six months of chemotherapy,” she says. “I was pretty tired. Not much energy.”

Recently, she got another diagnosis: osteoporosis. Her doctor gave her a prescription for a workout, which she fills at Orangetheory four or five times a week.

“The program is different every single day, which I love,” says Miller.

At her last checkup, she found out her bone density is improving. It had been -3.7, but it’s up to -2.5.

“I’m reversing my osteoporosis, which is pretty incredible,” she says.

So getting here was half the battle, but it’s one, Miller is winning.

“I can’t wait for my next six-month checkup to see how much more progress I’ve made,” she says.
