City of Waller under curfew through Friday as community cleans up after storm

The city said it's to protect residents' health and safety and to protect property.

WALLER, Texas — The City of Waller is under a curfew.

The city council voted to put the temporary curfew in place from midnight to 6 a.m. daily. They said it’s to “protect public health and safety and to protect property from damage or destruction during this local state of disaster.”

In a post to Facebook, the city said they’ve already had a couple break-ins since Thursday's storm.

The curfew doesn’t include people who are coming in and out of Waller for work.

Waller police will be patrolling during the curfew hours, which they said will end on Friday.

One of the two confirmd tornadoes that came with Thursday's storm was in Waller County.
