HOUSTON — The average American cusses 80 to 90 times a day, according to researchers. They say it's becoming more acceptable both online and off, from music to movies to TV shows.
BonusFinder.com decided to find out which states have the most potty mouths and Texas tops the list -- at least when it comes to Reddit posts.
The study says Texans use an average of 6.9 cuss words per post, closely followed by Ohio with 6.7 and Florida with 6.5.
Rounding out the top 10 are Tennessee, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Idaho.
In case you're wondering, Californians have the cleanest language on the country.
The favorite curse word in Texas and 47 other states is s--t. Only Colorado residents prefer the "f-bomb," although variations of it are the second, third and eighth most-used naughty words.
