A man who had been wanted for nearly three years was captured Monday in Dallas after a tip to authorities.

Albert Isaiah Christopher, who was on the statewide list of the 10 most wanted sex offenders, was wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and probation violation. U.S. Marshals arrested him at a north Dallas apartment complex Monday.

Christopher, 39, was convicted of sexually assaulting two girls, ages 10 and 12, in November 2011. A warrant was obtained for his arrest in January 2014 after he violated the terms of his probation.

A second warrant for failing to meet registration requirements was issued less than a week later.

With the arrest of Christopher, law enforcement officials have arrested 18 individuals from the Texas 10 most wanted fugitives and sex offenders thus far in 2016.

The tip that led to Christopher’s arrest was submitted through Crime Stoppers and a reward of up to $3,000 will be paid to the tipster.
