AUSTIN -- A 45-year-old man has been charged with capital murder in the death of one of three people found slain at two crime scenes.
The Austin American-Statesman reports that 45-year-old Marco Antonio Garcia was charged in the death of 67-year-old Edward Randall Stout, found shot in the back of the head Thursday in his garage in eastern Travis County. Officials said more charges are likely. Garcia did odd jobs for Stout.
The bodies of a woman and a child, believed to be her son, were found in the East Austin home where Garcia had rented a room.
Officials identified the victim as 39-year-old Carla Alvizo and said she and her 7-year-old son had been reported missing by family members this week. Alvizo was identified as Garcia s former girlfriend.
Garcia was in the Travis County Jail with no bail set.
