HOUSTON — For those looking to make a trip to their local liquor store on Thanksgiving, you are out of luck. Liquor stores will be closed on the holiday.
In Texas, liquor stores are only closed on Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, according to the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission. If Christmas Day or New Year's Day falls on a Sunday, liquor stores will be closed the following Monday.

Is H-E-B open on Thanksgiving?
Yes, H-E-B will be open but the stores will have limited hours. On Thursday, Nov. 23, stores will be open from 6 a.m. to noon. The pharmacy will be closed though, Curbside will run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Home delivery will be closed.
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, the day before Thanksgiving, stores will be open regular hours along with curbside and home delivery.
On Black Friday, Nov. 24, stores will be open regular hours while curbside and home delivery open at 9 a.m.
