Several victims still recovering in hospital after Alabama bus crash

Several remain in the hospital following a deadly bus crash in Alabama when the bus plunged 50 feet into a ravine.

Some students are returning home Wednesday, while federal investigators are working to answer questions about how it happened.

The NTSB is starting its investigation into that deadly crash Wednesday. Their focus is on figuring out what caused the driver to end up in the median and eventually plummet 50 feet down into that ravine.

Part of that is interviewing everyone who was on that bus about what they saw. The driver died in that crash.

Authorities said there are no signs he slowed down before the wreck suggesting he may have been unconscious.

There are a handful of victims still in the hospital, among them is beloved band director Aaron Allison.

There's been a lot of support of support for him on social media – one tweet shows him dancing with the caption “He wasn't just a band director he's family.”

Those who were on that bus are starting to make their way back to Texas Wednesday.
