100 Club to Assist Families of the 4 Houston Firefighters Killed in the Line of Duty
The 100 Club, a 60 year old Houston based non-profit organization, that supports the dependents of Firefighters and Law Enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, today announces its financial assistance for the families the 4 Houston Firefighters who were killed in the line of duty while fighting a four-alarm fire at a Southwest Houston Hotel.
A $20,000 check will be presented to the surviving spouses of the firefighters to help the family s immediate monetary needs. Additional financial support for the families will be made after an assessment of each family s needs is made. On average, the 100 Club s financial support is approximately $300,000 per tragedy.
Donations are being accepted to The 100 Club Survivors Fund , which provides benefits to the dependents of Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers who lose their life in the line of duty.

The 100 Club began in 1953 when a handful of citizens banded together to provide financial support to the dependents of Houston Police Officers killed in the line of duty. Today, the 100 Club s 29,870 members, located in Austin, Brazoria, Brazos, Burleson Chambers, Colorado, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, Madison, Montgomery, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller and Washington counties, continue to band together for the purpose of aiding dependents of Firefighters and Law Enforcement and responding to their needs.
