School districts around Houston cancel after-school activities

Several districts are taking action in advance of tonight's weather.

With severe weather possible tonight, school districts around Houston are canceling activities. We're also learning of at least one event being canceled.

KHOU 11 Chief Meteorologist David Paul says we could see street flooding tonight with several inches of rain across the area.

The following districts are canceling all extra-curricular and after-school activities.

  • HOUSTON ISD
  • FORT BEND ISD
  • KATY ISD
  • PEARLAND ISD
  • CLEAR CREEK ISD
  • ALDINE ISD
  • KLEIN ISD
  • DICKINSON ISD
  • SPRING BRANCH ISD

We’ve also been notified of the following events canceled because of the weather.

  • Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo
