It's now been two years since Texas three-year-old Lina Sardar Khil went missing

Her case remains active as San Antonio Police continue to investigate her disappearance.

SAN ANTONIO — Wednesday marks two years since then-3-year-old Lina Sardar Khil disappeared from an apartment complex on the northwest side.

Now, two years later, her missing persons case remains unsolved, and on Wednesday community members gathered to remember Lina and call for the search to continue.

>Watch Wednesday's full observance below:

Lina remains an active missing persons case with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD). Surveillance video released by police shows her at a playground on Dec. 20, 2021, before she disappeared. In that video she can be seen wearing a red outfit and coat while nearby other young children.

At one point, she walks out of the video. That’s the last time she was seen.

Earlier this year, in an observance held on her 5th birthday, Lina's family released an updated sketch of what the girl might look like now. Speaking through a translator, her father said he hoped it would bring in more tips.

A lack of progress in the case has created frustration for the family. However, the girl’s father has not given up hope of finding Lina alive.

If you know anything about this case, you are urged to call SAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (210) 207-7660. There is a reward being offered from Crime Stoppers and the Islamic Center of San Antonio to help find her.
