Resident injured in Cy-Fair house fire

The patient was treated by Cy-Fair Medic crews and transported to the hospital in serious condition.

HOUSTON — Firefighters rescued a resident from a burning home in northwest Houston early Friday morning.

Crews with the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department responded around 3 a.m. to a home in the 8300 block of Prairie Wind Lane and found heavy fire through the roof.

Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

The Cypress Creek Fire Department rescued one victim from inside the home. The patient was treated by Cy-Fair Medic crews and transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

The Jersey Village Fire Department also helped battle the flames.
