HOUSTON — Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck and killed while walking in downtown Houston Monday afternoon.
The 64-year-old woman was in the crosswalk in the 900 block of Milam St. near Walker St. around 12:25 p.m.
HPD said she was hit by a white pickup truck making a left turn.
She was rushed to the hospital but didn't survive.
Investigators said the driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. They believe he failed to yield the right away but the investigation continues. It's not clear if any charges will be filed.
