Motorcyclist dies at hospital after deputy, good Samaritan pull him from gutter

From AIR 11 footage, a tow truck could be seen towing the bike from scene.

CYPRESS, Texas — A motorcycle driver has died after he crashed his bike in northwest Harris County.

The man was found in a gutter by a good Samaritan, and with the help of a deputy, he was pulled from the water to safer ground.

The man was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

Around 3:30 p.m., Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that the man had passed away.

"Sad to report the male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. May he Rest In Peace." Gonzalez said.

The accident happened on Spring Cypress Road near Steubner Airline Road.

Gonzalez said the good Samaritan was on his way to celebrate his son's 15th birthday when he pulled over to help the motorcyclist.

He also commended Deputy Demaret "for giving it his all to save someone's life."

Gonzalez said earlier on Friday that he was praying the man pulled through.

There's no word on what may have caused the accident.
